Bollywood Star Daughters in the B-Town 2013

From year to year, we had witnessed many beautiful ladies from filmy family being Bollywood divas. In the early 90s, we had Karisma Kapoor and Kajol in Indian cinema. We also couldn't forget Raveena Tandon and Twinkle Khanna as the part of Bollywood cinema. Later in the early 2000, Kareena Kapoor made her debut in the big screen. Being one of  Raj Kapoor's granddaughters, Kareena Kapoor has continued the legacy successfully. She can make a mark in Bollywood and become role-model for young aspiring actors.

And nowadays, we can see the tradition has continued in B-Town. Yes, let's mention Sonam Kapoor who made her debut in Saawariya. After a while, finally she got noticed for her performance in Ranjhanaa and Bhag Milkha Bhag. Her two-latest released movies did very well at box office and she got many compliments from film-makers. We also can't forget another beautiful lady in this league, yes she is Sonakshi Sinha. After tremendous debut in Dabangg, she continued to make appearance in hit movies like Dabangg 2, Rowdy Rathore and Son of Sardaar.

The next gen Alia Bhatt (daughter of Mahesh Bhatt) made a successful debut in "Student of the Year". At her young age, she looks so confident and committed to her job. Almost in the same time, another Kapoor girl came with successful story with her performance in Aashiqui 2. Yes, she is Shraddha Kapoor. She has portrayed her character in this movie very well and connected to the audiences' hearts.

Now, we hope that we still can see more wonderful movies from them. Good luck, girls!

Akshay introduces his protégés Kiara and Mohit
Kiara Advani, Akshay Kumar & Mohit Marwah

Akshay Kumar is becoming quite the producer, promoting new talent. And he's found it with newcomers Mohit Marwah and Kiara Advani. His joint venture with Ashvini Yardi of Grazing Goat Pictures' will be producing Fugly, the launch pad for the debutantes.

The film will be directed by Kabir Sadanand of Tum Milo Toh Sahi and Popcorn Khao! Mast Ho Jao fame. Our debutantes are no strangers to the filmy duniya. Mohit is nephew to Anil and Boney Kapoor whereas Kiara's family has close ties with Salman Khan.

Fugly is the story of two boys and one girl. The film will be shot extensively in Ladakh and Delhi. Olympic bronze-medalist Vijendra Singh will also make his acting debut in the film.

Here it is the short interview of the debutantes...

Akshay: Fugly is F-Ugly. What does the 'F' stand for, according to you?
Mohit: F is Fun/Freaky/Fantasy! For the real meaning, there is always the Internet.
Kiara: F is Fight... for a cause.

Akshay: Kiara is a South Mumbai girl while Mohit is a Delhi boy. What is the fugliest thing you have done?
Mohit: Once, I laid a bet with someone and entered a restaurant dressed like a rockstar. I stood on the table, played my iPod and started singing obnoxiously. Everyone's dinner went for a toss. I later realised my parents were also there.
Kiara: I once shaved my brows and went to school wearing eyeliner.

Akshay: These days, it's hard to escape the paparazzi. If you were to be caught, who would you want to be caught with? Mohit: Deepika Padukone. Kiara: Superman. He is suave and witty and would whisk me away from the paparazzi.

Akshay: Our dreams drive us. How far will you go to achieve yours?
Mohit: I've wanted to be an actor and have worked hard to reach here. I'll continue to do so. Otherwise, there's always the casting couch (laughs).
Kiara: As long as I don't have to compromise on my values.

Akshay: After over 22 years of being an actor, they still call me Khiladi. What would you want to be known as?
Mohit: I'm sure you didn't plan the Khiladi tag. It just came along the way. I have a long way to go before I can get my own tag.
Vijender Singh: I'd leave that to the audience.

Aamir Khan ropes in Farhan Akhtar’s trainer for son

Of late, a number of star kids — Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor, among others — have been in the news for their fitness routines. Joining this league is another star kid — Aamir Khan’s son Junaid — who has been on a training programme for nearly seven months now.

Aamir Khan & Junaid

It’s not clear whether the 18-year-old is being prepared for a grand launch, but Aamir’s son is surely sweating it out with trainers Samir Jaura and Jai Shekhawat. Samir trained Farhan Akhtar for his role in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and has been working with the actor for 11 years now. “It was Aamir who asked Farhan for Samir’s number. Junaid called him expressing his desire to train under him. He was fit already, so the trainers have put him on a general fitness and toning regimen,” says an industry insider.
Apparently, Aamir met Samir before Junaid’s training kicked off. “Aamir told him to maintain Junaid’s fitness levels and also tone up his body. At that time, he didn’t say whether he wanted to launch Junaid. From the time Khan Jr has started training, he has lost around 8 kg, and his physique is leaner now,” says the insider, adding that Junaid is still working out every day.

When contacted, Samir says, “For Junaid, there’s a basic fitness training. I don’t know whether he is being launched or not.” Junaid is currently working as an assistant director to Rajkumar Hirani for his father’s next.
